2017 update!

As those of you who follow her on social media are aware, K Starr was in a taxi cab collision nearly two years ago and has been on the slow road to recovery ever since. With numerous physical injuries and a brain injury now receding into her past, she is becoming more active again and is in full time physical and mental training!

The first part of 2017 brings her to you in an EmmaTalks (Vancouver Feb 28) and she will also be part of the nation wide project created by The Confederation of the Arts, The Dream Catchers, a collaboration experience with Canadians under 18 where established arts educators and performers create works from listening intently to the young people of Canada.

Also in the making is a new album. She is now in a collaboration with a co-writer and producer - a gift, as she has never had a full time collaborator and her brain and body are still mending. Says Starr, "Having a collaborator is like having wings."

April of 2017 brings more screenings of her feminist documentary film, Play Your Gender to western Canada, including at the Reel 2 Reel Film Festival in Vancouver April 6 and 7.

Starr sends her love! Fight hard, but love harder!
